You'll probably recognise Susan Wokoma from everyone's fave Netflix series, Chewing Gum where she played the role of Tracy's (Michaela Coel) eccentric sister, Cynthia and absolutely killed it. It looks like the British-Nigerian actress is bringing her talents home as she is set to star in an upcoming film, alongside Kate Henshaw, The Ghost And The House Of Truth.
Produced by Ego Boyo and directed by seasoned movie director, Akin Omotosho, The Ghost And The House Of Truth is a supernatural thriller set in Nigeria.
Wokoma steps out of her usual comical roles, and plays Bola Ogun, whose 8-year-old daughter has gone missing. She is frustrated by the police's inefficient investigation and takes it upon herself to figure it out, and uncovers a lot of ugly thruths.
Susan Wokoma replaced Genevieve Nnaji for this role, and is joining other Nollywood big-wigs like Kate Henshaw, Fabian Adeoye, Gloria Young Kemi 'Lala' Akindoju, Seun Ajayi and more.
We can see from Instagram, that production has wrapped up, however there has been no release date set. We're super excited to see this move and are eagerly anticipating the trailer!
