Walt Disney Company boss Bob Iger has just announced plans to inject two billion euros into Disneyland Paris, after meeting with French president Emmanuel Macron. As part of the huge extension plans, Europe's only Disney theme park will add three brand new zones over the next few years, dedicated to the Marvel universe, Star Wars and Frozen, respectively.
Few details have been released for the moment but there is a artist concept image, which you can check out below.
The first thing to note is that the Tram Tour, a guided tour around "the magic of Production Courtyard", will be replaced by a giant artificial lake.
Disney has indicated that this will be at the heart of the three new attractions. In the image, the Star Wars zone is clearly visible to the left of the lake, with the Frozen attraction seen in the centre.
The Marvel section also appears to be an extension of the Rock’n Roller Coaster zone. It was also announced a few days ago that the latter was set to get an Marvel transformation based around Iron Man and the Avengers. If any of that has caught your attention, you'll have to be patient because the plans are expected to take until 2021.
In the meantime, you can always check out more new novelties from the IRL Disney universe, including Disney’s Hotel New York which is set to become "Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel" over the coming months.
